How Charis Clinic Works

Options for care through Charis Family Clinic.

1.  Traditional Insurance

Charis Family Clinic accepts the following insurances: Aetna, Cigna, First Choice, WA Labor & Industries (new claims only), Molina  for children, Regence Blue Shield, Premera, PHCS/Multiplan, and Uniform. Due to limitations the following insurances place on the practice (including restricting our ability to care for those who are in need or uninsured), the practice does not contract with United Healthcare, Pacificare, or Medicare. If you are a Medicare-age client, note that you ARE able to receive care through Option #2.

2.  Uninsured Clients

We believe clients who are uninsured need options and deserve optimal health care too.

Please call us to discuss how we can meet your particular health care needs...

In-office visits are billed according to a simple fee schedule:**

Level 1 Visit: $40
Level 2 Visit: $80
Level 3 Visit: $120

Relatively uncomplicated visits focused on a single, acute problem or follow-up for a chronic condition.

Examples would be an ear infection or a focused follow-up visit for high blood pressure.

Level 1 visits typically last about 15 minutes.

Most visits for patients with chronic conditions will fall into this category. Examples include more complex follow-up visits for conditions such as diabetes, asthma, or high blood pressure.

Visits for acute problems that are more complex (such as a fracture or abdominal pain) or for more than one issue would also be level 2 visits.

Level 2 visits typically last about 30 minutes.

Comprehensive preventive care visits or consultations and office surgeries. Examples would include gynecologic examinations for women and full physicals for men or women.

Visits for multiple chronic conditions (such where diabetes and depression are addressed) would also be Level 3 visits.

Level 3 visits typically last 45-60 minutes.

Procedures and Tests:

Procedures such as skin biopsies or laceration repairs will generally be Level Level 3 visits. Certain tests, such as in-office cholesterol tests, spirometry (pulmonary function test), and procedures require a small fee to cover the cost of our materials and equipment.

3. Access Clients

These visits are offered as a service to the community for a donation plus the cost of labs and materials. Please schedule your Access appointment online under the appropriate slots.
